Voluntary assisted dying as a fundamental human right in Europe
It is a human right to choose time and manner of the end of one’s suffering and life, and to receive assistance for this. DIGNITAS – To live with dignity – To die with dignity attended the joint WFRtDS -EUMANS! conference in Barcelona for the launch of the petition “My Last Right – Voluntary Assisted Dying As A Fundamental Human Right”, with speakers and guests from Hungary, Norway, Ireland, France, Czech Republic and more.
Signatures are now being collected across Europe with the aim of including the right to voluntary assisted suicide in the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the EU. Please sign the petition.
